Meet Denise

I’ve always found comfort in organizing. Long before I became a professional organizer, creating order and finding practical solutions came naturally to me.
As a child, I was the one folding my pajamas just right, packing baskets for family trips, organizing photos, and helping relatives sort through their belongings. My favorite toys? You guessed it - nesting dolls! Even then, organizing felt calming to me. It still does.
My adult life has brought many meaningful chapters and transitions. I married my husband, Jim, in 1994, and together we raised our two sons, Adam and Evan. After growing up in New Jersey and attending college in Rhode Island, I eventually made my home in Northeast Florida. Over the years, our family has navigated moves, changing routines, growing children, and new seasons of life - including major household transitions in 2024 when my brother moved into our home and one of my adult sons moved out.
Through each transition, I’ve learned the same lesson: when life changes, our spaces, systems, and routines often need to change with it.
Thoughtful home organization isn’t simply about having less stuff or creating picture-perfect rooms. It’s about creating spaces that work for the life you’re living now. The right organizing systems can help reduce stress, make better use of your space, simplify everyday routines, and create more time and energy for the people and priorities that matter most.
Before becoming a professional organizer and founding Peaceful Places with Denise, I spent more than 15 years working in elementary education in St. Johns and Duval Counties in Northeast Florida. Teaching taught me patience, compassion, flexibility, and - perhaps most importantly - how to meet people where they are. Those same skills now shape the way I help people with home organization, productivity, accountability, and life transitions.
Today, I bring that experience to The Clarity Connection, an online organizing, productivity, and accountability community for people who want support creating greater order and clarity in their homes, schedules, projects, and everyday lives.
I believe organization is about so much more than the stuff. It’s about creating systems that support you, finding practical ways to move forward, and having the encouragement and accountability to follow through.
Because ultimately, a more organized life isn’t about perfection. It’s about creating a little more peace - and remembering that you are enough without the stuff.
